Eng. Ghunaim: 'We have made important achievements and today we are implementing other projects in Wadi Du'oq'

Ramallah: Head of Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghunaim, inaugurated today in Wadi Al-Du’oq, a reservoir project, a transmission line and a water distribution network, which serves the 400 residents of Wadi al-Du’oq community in southern Jenin governorate, located in area C.

The project aims to improve the water situation in the region and reduce the rate of waste as the area suffered from wear in the water system, which led the people to rely on the tanks. The water authority has therefore implemented the project, which includes the rehabilitation of the water system and the construction of the reservoir to ensure the sustainability of water services. The total value of the project was 710,000 shekels funded by the Water Authority's development budget.

The project includes the supply and installation of pipelines of different diameters, in addition to the supply and installation of manholes to remove air from the network lines and ensure water access, as well as the installation and supply of the water valves to ensure the distribution of water fairly and easy maintenance in the future, in addition to the construction of the reservoir with a capacity of 50 cups.

Eng.Ghunaim stressed that the implementation of these projects aims to improve the management of the water sector, to ensure the security of water rights and achieve equitable distribution among all sectors, and to ensure the most effective ways to manage and develop available water sources, to achieve a balance between the quantity and quality of water available and the needs of the Palestinian people in the present and the future.
