Ramallah: The Head of the Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghunaim met in his office today, the mayor of Kafr Aqab, Mr. Imad Awad, and members of the municipality to discuss the water situation in the area.

The meeting discussed the town's need to develop and rehabilitate the infrastructure facilities to provide the residents with vital services, especially water, particularly in the highlands that have urban expansion in recent times.

Eng. Ghunaim explained that the Water Authority takes into account the specificity of the area and that it will work through the technical teams to follow up the needs related to water and wastewater needs according to the available capabilities, noting that the Water Authority has submitted a tender to implement the rainwater drainage project, in addition, to implement a sewage line to solve the wastewater problem, and a water network rehabilitation project had been implemented earlier, which contributed to improving the water distribution within the municipality’s concession.

Mayor Imad Awad praised the efforts of the Water Authority in improving the water services provided to the citizen, stressing the municipality's cooperation in various fields to provide the necessary services to the citizen.
