Water Authority and Qatar Charity Sign Joint Cooperation Agreement

Ramallah: Water Authority and Qatar charity have signed today, a joint cooperation agreement to develop frameworks and mechanisms for cooperation between the two parties in developing water and sanitation services provided to the Palestinian citizen.

 The agreement was signed by Eng. Mazen Ghunaim, Head of the Water Authority, and the Director of Qatar Charity's office in Palestine, Mr.Huthayfa Jalamna.

The agreement includes the implementation of a project to rehabilitate and maintain water networks and facilities and sewage damage in Al-Maghazi camp in the Gaza Strip.

The agreement aims to promote the strategic partnership and continuous cooperation between the Water Authority and the Qatar Charity, based on a vision for the future aimed at achieving economic growth and water and food security, equitable distribution of water sources among different sectors, and achieving sustainable development of these sources through their protection, and effective and equitable management of all water sources.

Eng. Ghunaim praised Qatar Charity's efforts in supporting the development projects, particularly those serving the affected communities.
