Head of Water Authority meets the Municipalities of kharas and Beit Ula

Ramallah - Head of Water Authority, Eng. Mazen Ghoneim, met today in two separate meetings the municipalities of Kharas and Beit Ula to discuss the water situation, problems and ways of support that the Water Authority can provide to improve water services.

Pointing to the issue of the high percentage of water losses in Kharas and Beit Ula, and the possibilities of solving it through the rehabilitation of water network or parts of them to dispose of the waste and use the quantities of water allocated in the best manner.

In this regard, Eng. Ghoneim instructed specialists to conduct a comprehensive study to develop networks in these areas and develop solutions to reduce the problem. He also confirmed that the water authority works continuously to develop and improve infrastructure in various regions to ensure the utilization of the quantities of water available and reduce waste, for the benefit of the citizen.

Eng. Ghoneim stressed the importance of assuming responsibility by all local authorities through monitoring the status of networks and existing lines and work on development and improvement of cooperation with the competent authorities to ensure the sustainability of the work of this facility.

Kharas Municipality also thanked Minister Ghoneim for his support and assistance the project of Kharas Station, which helped greatly in bringing water to many highland areas in the town which was suffering from lack of access to water.
