Participatory audit of gender

Palestinian Water Authority (PWA) organized a series of workshops focusing on aplying gender in auditing; 82 employees from the Water Authority participated in the workshops within various levels of management, including senior , middle management and technicians, support s and services staff, and some from local and international stakeholder.

The workshops aimed at monitoring the strengths and good practices of the process of gender mainstreaming in the Water Authority over it’s different programs, as well as the institutional culture towards achieving equality, in addition to identifying the aspects that can be developed in this issue  and gaining practical recommendations from participants that could  be taken in different aspects In the work

The workshop was remarkable by the active participation of all attendance, that enriched the audit process with many important information and recommendations that will enhance the efforts of the Authority in its work to achieve justice, equality and equal opportunities.

H RD Company implemented the participatory audit process work shop funded by GIZ with a specialized team internationally recognized  in auditing. The team consisted of Fatima Al-Buthma, Hanan Al-Jayousi and Fatima Abdo, with the support of  Rana Abu Al Soud the Gender Officer in the Water Authority.
