Northeast Ramallah Wastewater Project

The project aims to expand wastewater services, reduce pollution, and enhance public health by establishing a comprehensive wastewater collection and treatment system. The total project cost is $58.5 million, with $40 million allocated for Phase 1, which covers the construction of the treatment plant and wastewater networks, and $18.5 million for Phase 2, which focuses on water reuse. Funding for Phase 1 has been secured through a $20 million loan from the European Investment Bank and a $20 million grant from the European Union. The design of wastewater networks and treatment plants is currently underway through the World Bank, with a budget of $350,000. The land for the treatment plant has been designated and allocated to the project.
